Aviva India is a joint venture between India’s oldest and largest group of Dabur and Aviva Plc, the UK’s largest insurance group. It’s product called Aviva Health Plus is a health insurance cum saving plan that covers individual against death and ill health. It pays a guaranteed death benefit to the beneficiary in the event of death of the insured.
Aviva Health Plus provides a combined benefits of Rs.21Lakh, if all health benefits are claimed. Also, extended death and disability cover for more 5 years after the health benefits cease. At maturity, the insured receives a guaranteed maturity benefit and it depends upon the entry age of the insured.
The policy provides surrender value, if at least two years premiums have been paid. A grace period of 15 days is provided for the payment of premium. If the premium is not paid within 15 days, the policy will lapse but can be reinstated within 90 days by paying reinstatement fee Rs.1,000/-. The policy also gives a free look period to review the policy terms and conditions and can cancel the policy within a 15 days. Tax benefit is available under section 80D, 80C and 10(10D) of the Income Tax Act,1961.
The entry level age is minimum18 years and maximum is 55 years. The maximum age at maturity is 65 years. The premium paying term is 5 years. The annual premium is Rs.35000/- plus service tax for all age groups. The sum assured is Rs.3,50,000/-. The policy term is 10 years.
Aviva Health Plus offers 5 different health benefits such as Accident Death & Disability(ADD), Sickness-only Total Permanent Disability (STPD), Surgical Cash Benefit (CSB), Hospital Cash Benefit (HCB) and Critical Illness (CI). Under Critical Illness benefit, the cover is provided for 18 critical illness.
